Itchy Lungs Solutions?

Whenever I react to an allergic trigger I find that the insides of my lungs get really itchy. Even after I've taken inhalers/pred etc, which helps with the tightness/cough/wheezing, the itchiness is still there. It drives me mad and I often wish I could put something into my lungs just to scratch the itch!

Does anyone else experience this and what helps with it?

Can't say I have but do you take antihistamines?

I haven’t but one of my friends has mentioned something similar before! I think she said that antihistamines helped with it so they might be worth a try if you’re not already taking some (as twinkly suggested!)

I hv similar symptoms when my asthma flare up, oral theophylline, oral antihistamines and steroid nasal spray may help.

I found keeping warmth around my neck may help with throat and lung itchness. The symptom usually triggered by coldness.
