Good evening

At last a dry day and spring smells so sweet.

Question is I am starting to go dairy free for my acid reflux. I can feel like I am drowning in flem. Yucky I know.

Started with oat milk can't do soya. Thoughts on cheese etc low fat or vegan?

Thankyou

I have been dairy free for many years now. For several years I took goat's cheese and cream. Many people can't bear goat's stuff, but I liked it. In the end it turned out I am also intolerant to goat's stuff. Have you tried coconut yoghurt ? I love one brand in particular.

Goat's cheese might try that. I love coconut milk.

Did I mention goat's cream ? I love that. Also Coyo, but its a bit pricey.

I found that since I've been having daily live yoghurt my reflux is much better, but then I don't have a dairy intolerance. Reflux is often a result of poor gut microbiome or low acid. If the latter then a daily spoon of apple cider vinegar in water can help (the sphincter to the stomach doesn't work well if stomach is too alkaline). If anything, I find high fat and sugar are more problematic for reflux. The less reflux I have the less irritated my lungs are so I get less phlegm. But that's just my experience.

Apple cider can't do as it would irritate my other condition.
