Breo and Sinus problems

Hello

Has anybody suffered from sinus inflammation/infection when using Breo or other inhaled steroids? I feel that my nose is stuffy all the time and even nasal steroids are not helping. The only thing that helps is prednisilone which I really dont want to use since my asthma is ok.

Advise please.

Sinus rinses and steroid nasal sprays (used regularly) might help? Ah sorry just saw you'd tried nasal sprays. If you haven't experimented with different ones it might be worth doing that. But sinus rinses like NeilMed work well.

I can relate to this. I had stuffed up nose for years even with steroid nasal sprays. It didn’t clear until the consultant changed my inhalers, keeping my nasal spray. So I wonder if your inhalers are not quite right for you? Maybe it’s a breakthrough symptom. Or you may have a virus that is taking a long time for your body to clear? I have to say, that having been shielding for a year my nose is the clearest it’s even been as when I was mixing with many different people at work, I was continually picking up bugs. If you use the nasal rinse ensure you do it just before you use your nasal spray. I have found Neilmed very helpful in clearing airways and any bugs that may be trying to get a hold. My consultant told me last week that your airway runs from the tip of your nose to the very bottom of your lungs so it is important to get the medication regime correct for all of it to keep asthma symptoms away. Good luck my friend.

Thanks for that. i do believe it is the inhaler but I have tried Symbicort and it gave me unbearable muscle pains so Breo is doing well for the Asthma. I use nasal rinse but it doesnt help. Only thing that helps is prednisolone and I gave in yesterday and took 2 pills of 25 g and now my nose is open again.
