Hello all - hope everyone is well on this sunny day (it’s sunny in the Midlands anyway).
One of the respiratory team has let me know that I’ve been referred to hospital for further tests. They are concerned there’s no treatment if I have an exacerbation as I’m on highest dose of fostair and can’t tolerate prednisone.
They want to see if I’m suitable for biologics.
I’m a bit confused as she said my bloods showed a dust allergy, which I understand , but my cinophil? ? Level wasn’t right so she needed me to reduce fostair while waiting to be seen. I may have got this a wrapped around my head - but does it make sense to anyone?
Thank you

Hi Emzcat. Here is a link that explains eosinophilic asthma and the treatment discussed with your respiratory team. asthma.org.uk/about/media/n... stopping your current meds before any tests, the eosinophils won't be suppressed and will be measured at their true levels. I believe that the levels have to be high to qualify for this proposed treatment and that's why it's important that they're not suppressed by steroids.
