Hi hope everyone is well. I was wondering if any of you on here have ever used a flutter device to move mucus and improve lung function I read an article this morning and although it sounds useful would like to hear from anybody that’s had personal experience with this sort of device.

Hi Tunbury. I haven’t any personal experience but I know many over on the British Lung Foundation forum who do. You might want to ask your question there too. Good luck!

I was given by my Physio a flutter valve which I find extremely useful in relieving my lungs of mucous. If you are receiving physio for your asthma I would ask for a flutter valve, then you will get one approved by the NHS as I have been told that some pf them available on the internet are no good, and I would not like you to waste money

I've had one for a few years, it works pretty well when I can hear mucus rattling around but can't cough it up.

Hi, I have a OPEP device, it’s like a little pipe. It’s great for clearing mucus but would probably speak to a resp physio regarding it unless you haven’t already as they can give you one and advise you on whether it would be appropriate for you.
