Allergy season!: Hi everyone! Has... - Asthma Community ...
Allergy season!
My daughter is allergic to tree pollen and I have noticed trees are starting to leaf. could this be it?
yes i am just started, i don't get it every year but it's always when March starts as it's getting warmer.
Hi, these links maybe helpful to you:
I haven't noticed anything jet. It's still very cold here LOL we have it using air purifier in two rooms and it's very helpful with allergies. But when I troubles with Pollen I do get itchy eyes and getting red and I get lot more wheezy with my asthma. It's starting around April that I getting problems. I take drops and antihistamines. It helps to get rid of it. Hope you are feeling better soon again. 😃🌺🌺🌺
Yep itchy itchy itchy. Tickly cough itchy nose an throat the usual for this time of year. I can only walk in fields now, get to about may I'm screwed then til oct!! My hayfever doesn't mess around then swollen eyes, nose either constantly running or blocked, i get tonsillitis asthma flares an become sensitive to everything in general but it feels like you have flu doesn't it and seriously grumpy! 🤣😂.
Blocked or stuffy nose, a dull headache, sore throat, tingly swollen tongue and itchy eyes ATM. This is besides the dull flu-like body ache in muscles and occasionally bones, and pressure on my chest.
I'm not looking forward to pollen season exacerbating this...
That’s what I ve been getting...aching body too! Is that a sign of allergy as well?! 😩 Also the irritated chest! I am on 3 x fexofenadine and montelukast so thought I would be bullet proof to seasonal allergies on that!! 🤦🏼♀️
I'm on Montelukast and a Clenil (brown) puffer, but following an asthma review this is being changed. I am hoping this makes all the difference.
I also take cetirizine...and a paracetamol every night or else I cannot get to sleep for discomfort.
So, totally recommend you have an excel sheet going to chart/review as the first step to start to identify triggers. I've started to remove triggers where possible or ensure barriers, etc in conjunction with the change in meds.
My review captured the date and a.m. & p.m. checks on
1. Confirmed med doses taken, incl Ventolin (blue) puffer
2. scored each of my symptoms out of 10 (0 = none)
3. Records my mood Vs. Anxiety.
4. BP, 2 readings taken 5 mins apart
5. Weather and environment variables - temp, wind speed, moisture, humidity, pressure, ozone, dust particles, pollen
6. Track activities/tasks and chemicals used
I know. I know. It felt like thesis quality work, but the outcome is I know I am allergic to dust, limonene, mint chocolate (After Eights!) and react to cold, high humidity, smoke/pollution in the air (no city tours for me!)....and I'm still finding out more....
Hope this helps.
I feel croaky every time we have mist off the fields now so I’ve been trying to breathe through my nose and stuff loads of Vaseline up then I put a cowl round my neck and pull it up over my mouth and go for a walk , but the down side is my specks steam up. I’m dreading the oil seed rape field opposite coming into flower as some how all pollutants get in the house a bit so it’s a case of wait and see. Good luck with your hay fever as all you can do is eat high dose antihistamines which do a little , oh and a tip from a friend suck a cough sweet as then one ingests some. 🌻🌻🌻
