Hi Sarahjane,

Sorry you’re feeling itchy too! I don’t get eczema now, but used to...behind the back of my knees and my neck. I think asthma and eczema can be linked. Have you spoken to your GP? There will be various creams they can prescribe. Don’t leave it too long, because you don’t want your skin getting sore. Hope it gets sorted soon! ...it might be worth taking note if certain shampoos etc affect it. Other brands that are purer might help?

Awwwww thank you only had it last 2 months we thought it was my allergies at first cause I have loads dust and stuff but I tried a different shampoo and come out with itchy neck next day some creams make it worse so just got a new one from chemist just tried it today also allergies to tomatoes and cheese but don’t eat them now so think it’s probably shampoo.

Hi there, I have eczema as well as asthma. I use baby shampoo because my skin can't cope with perfumes. It is strongly recommended that people with eczema use an emollient regularly to keep the skin moisturised. Your GP should be able to prescribe one.

I can get eczema all over, but especially on my hands over the last few years. I've had the baby shampoo for so long now. But I probably would have been scratching my scalp. I do get eczema on my neck as well.

I think it's trial and error like everything else. I use a coal tar shampoo - which others may be horrified by, but it works a treat for me. Polytar is quite expensive, but T-Gel do a brown shampoo which is effective.

Hi yes have eczema as well , I buy an emollient from the chemist called emulsifying ointment. It comes in a big tub and leads to slippy bath times...but is effective .Also realised during Lockdown ( and hair dressers shut ) that hair does not need such frequent washing , it self cleans after a while ! Wishing you an itch free New Year Marilyn
