Recent experience with Asthma UK

Good afternoon all,

This is just a short post to say how helpful a recent Asthma UK nurse appointment was that I attended. This was my first time calling them, and they offered so much support and advice.

I went back to my GP and we discussed what was said, and between us have put a new plan in place, including changing my medications and agreeing a new exercise plan.

After following this for 5 days my breathing has improved significantly and my general asthma symptoms have reduced dramatically.

I was honest with both the Asthma UK nurse and my GP.. historically I have not been the most compliant with my medications, and often “forgot” to take them, or just stopped “as I felt fine”. The new plan considers this, and I have set up regular reminder alarms on my phone to help keep on top of taking them.

Amazing what one phone call can do. Hope it lasts! Wishing you all well.
