Hi

Personally I don’t have issues. I like this as it’s a spray more than a squirt if you know what I mean 😅

The best way to use it is slightly complicated to explain but easy to do 😅😂

To do left nostril;

Blow nose. Hold spray in right hand, fingers on the button to spray it. Put into left nostril. Place left hand onto right nostril to block it (crossing over). Then spray as you breathe in. Then do the opposite for right nostril.

This angles the spray so it gets to the right place!

Other than the usual issues with basal sprays (slightly odd taste etc sometimes) nothing major for me

Hope this helps

Also no issues and works well for me. I like it for the same reasons EmmaF91 mentions above.

What issues are you having? I was tried on a different one and it gave me nosebleeds so my GP switched me back to this one.

I had to stop using it because despite using the right technique I still got nose bleeds and it didn't help my hayfever, I always sounded like I had a bad cold. I had to go on to Dymista nasal spray, it was recommended by an asthma UK helpline nurse. Since using it I no longer have nose bleeds and my symptoms have really improved. I guess what works well for one person won't necessarily work for another. I'm glad that EmmaF91 and twinkly29 find Avamyst works for them. Very good description of taking a nasal spray.😊 With Dymista I believe it's recommended that you breathe normally without sniffing while taking it and after.

I had this too!! I got really really awful nosebleeds (it seems to have permanently damaged it or something too bc I still get them despite not having used it for ages now) but I'll ask about Dymista! Nobody really knew what to do when I told them I was having nosebleeds so took me off, but I have awful rhinitis and could really do with one :) thank youuuu

I have found that if I don’t use sterimar salt water spray to clean out my nose before using it doesn’t work at all - and also ended up on dymista which works much better for me. Just spray the sterimar up your nose and then blow your nose and wait a couple of minutes for it to dry out before applying avamys/dymista.

Had no problem with it, but only on it for a short time prior to sinus surgery

I am ok with it but if I use long term my nose starts to block/bleed
