Can parents of children with asthma and allergies requiring adrenaline pens claim DLA? (in the UK)

If you can show that your child needs much more looking after than a child of the same age who does not have a disability and/or they have difficulty getting about, you may be able to claim. So if your child’s asthma is severe/really uncontrolled and has been for 3+ months and will continue for 6+months then you may be able to get it.

It’s worth speaking to your local CAB for advice on this if you are thinking of applying and they can help you fill out the form. I know for adults getting PIP for severe asthma can be really difficult because it is an intermittent condition....
