Symbicort and chest pain

Hey have been on symbicort 200/6 for about 3 months now, since starting on symbicort Ive had 2 nasty chest infections and since the second chest infection have been getting sharp chest pains. I was wondering if this could have been caused by the symbicort or if anyone had experienced anything simiar to this?

mmmmm....

i ave been using symbicort for a couple of months, i have ad chest pains, but i don't know wether it could be that or my hurrendous coughing !!

I am on 400/12 two puffs twive a day for the past month and have to say that I have no chest pain other than on one occasion but that was after suffering a sever asthma attack.

Wanda

i've been on it just over a month - 200/6 2 x twice a day, with pulmicort to top me up to the max dose.. i have really bad shakes because of the fometerol, but have only had bits of chest pain, which i don't think are related, though i may be wrong. maybe it could be due to something else??

Had an appointment at the asthma nurse today so asked about the chest pain, my asthma nurse got the Doctor to prescribe antibiotics to see if that would help. She thinks it may be yet another chest infection. Hopefully antibiotics will help if not I am sure I will cry.

read the leaflet...ir is symbicort!

I had the same thing when i was on symbicort. within two weeks of switching to seretide my continous cough stopped and my bronchitis (which was really bad stopped) calm down drastically...so did my chest cramps too.

trying switching to something else for a week or two if there is no change you can always go back to it. There is too many side effects with symbicort - and so many other types of inhalers out there.

I have to say I've been on symbicort for 7 mths now. I had heart flutters at first but that may have been atrovent, but symbicort works wonders for me. Has improved things hugely.

I used to be on symbicort but had sooo many problems with it. Not chest pain but would inhale then vomit for about ten minutes straight away. It was awful stuff. If it is troubling you it would be best to go to the doctors

Hope you feel better soon
