Can anyone advice on a good Acid Reflux book that has benefited their condition

The Acid Watchers Diet seems to be quite popular. I have not read it but I have heard some recommendations. Hope that helps.

im getting reflux after breakfast many mornings , only cereals and then toast , i take lansaprazole an hour before so should not get this , i too need a book or leaflet ? good luck josephine !

Hi

Have you tried speaking to your GP about the fact you’re still having issues? It could be that you need a different medication. There are typically 2 types of anti-reflux; PPI (lansoprazole/omeprazole etc) and H2 (ranitidine/famotidine etc). Some people will benefit more from one than the other. Personally PPIs GIVE me reflux, so they are a no go for me😅.

Equally there’s the things like gaviscon that it may be worth discussing if it is only one meal a day...

It’s a good idea to see if there are any particular foods that set you off, and reflux books should help you there, but if that doesn’t stop the issue, just remember there are alternatives that can be discussed.
