Thrush after using inhalers.

I have now developed thrush on one side of my tongue. I use fostair 100/6, plus salbutamol as an reliever. I do rinse my mouth thoroughly with water, after using my inhaler. Can I buy Over the counter medication, or will I have to see my go.

Thanks.

You can request an areochamber for the fostair if it's a pump. I have 2 areochamber so as I am cleaning one I have a spare one to use just incase.

Talk to a pharmacist about your mouth thrush see if they can help you if not talk to your GP's about it. And about an areochamber. I clean my areochamber once a week, with steradent and then warm water to dislodge any remaining trace's of the inhalers and steradent that might be on the areochamber

I’ll speak to the pharmacist tomorrow. I’l also if possible speak to the asthma nurse, about getting an aero chamber. Thanks for you help,

I do appreciate it.

Ask for 2 if possible as you are cleaning one you have a spare one just in case you have an attack. Hopefully you will not but better being safe then sorry. Especially now with with COVID-19
