Do I need to shield ??

Am I high risk do I need to be shielding ?

I’m taking symbicort 200/6 I started as 1 puff twice a day but was told to bump it up to 2 puffs twice a day when I need to. (Usually this time of year as my hay fever plays up !)

Does 2 puffs twice a day put me in the group that needs to shield ? My asthma is normally fine and I don’t suffer badly from it, I normally only have to use my blue inhaler if I’ve been somewhere that’s dusty.

I don’t experience any problems when exercising and did have a very active job until we had to work from home. I am worried if I have shield then I won’t be able to go running or exercise and this will make me feel worse.

I’ve been following social distancing strictly and working from home , but will I be ok to go for a walk?

Thank you so much x

If you don't receive notification from the NHS you will be in the strict social distancing group rather than the shielding group.

Your single inhaler on medium dose also indicates you're not in the shielding group.

Hope this helps.
