Chemists Open for business?

Hi,

First time poster, please be gentle :)

Apologies if this may have been answered, but in regards to the current lockdown, are chemists still open in terms of getting prescriptions?

I've got what I need at the moment, but when time comes to get another inhaler, would they be open and would it be okay to go to them?

Thanks

Darren

Yes pharmacies are part of the essential shops still open.

And yes you can collect prescriptions although if you have someone else to do that for you I think that's advised, especially if you receive an NHS at risk text/letter. However not everyone will have someone to collect things for them so in that case it is allowed to do so.

Thank you, I've not received anything yet from the NHS, unfortunately I'm a bit of on a limb where I live, so I'd have to collect myself, but I'm good for a while until the hay fever season kicks in

Depending on your exact needs, condition, meds you may not get a letter or text. But all asthmatics need to be careful. But it is ok to collect meds.
