Need a prescription for an inhaler

What do you do if you cannot get through on the phone to request a prescription? Unable to request online as it was prescribed 8 weeks and it is not on repeated and was advised to ring but cannot get through. Any advice. Thanks

I can imagine GP surgeries are inundated with calls today in response to the PM’s announcement last night. Also, early morning tend to be a bottleneck on the phone lines. I would keep trying for now (if they’re open).

Can you email? Make clear in headline that it's a asthma medication request.

I emailed my surgery last night and they replied this morning.

Thanks have emailed whether they will response not sure. Been trying to ring since 8am no luck.

I gave up yesterday after I was in phone queue for ages. Really surprised at how quickly the email thing worked. Got my reply and everything sorted. Good luck with email!
