Thank You Asthma UK!

I’m not sure about any of you but the information, guidelines and content put out by Asthma UK this weekend has been amazing!

Each day has brought further clarity as to what we need to be doing and who needs to do it. I’m so incredibly impressed but also massively thankful!

It’s abundantly clear how hard they’ve been working behind the scenes to provide us with the exact information we were all so desperately waiting for, even when their server shut down due to high traffic, they went to the effort of making a new, direct link...

Thank you to all at Asthma UK!

Definitely, the guidance I have just seen has prepared me to receive a letter re shielding. I am ok at the moment and well controlled so waiting till told I have to I am an informal carer who is relied on so am very worried if I have to isolate/shield !!

Not looking forward to my exile as I enjoy the outdoor life. I worked all my life in repairing all types of boats and caravans, and made a lot of friends. The tunnel appears to be very long but lets all hope we see the end of the tunnel soon. And many thanks to all people involved in with this troublesome problem

Agree they're doing a good job - although potentially confusing doing it at the same time as the Gov letters as I think they're different things - though of course regardless of a letter or not, if people are very high risk then shielding is sensible.

But..... people need to look at the whole thing, ie inhaler doses not just see "fostair" on their examples of combi inhalers in the criteria and think yeah I'm on that. I've seen so many people (Twitter, Facebook, etc) using the name of the inhaler and nothing more. Or seeing "steroids" and thinking that a course since Christmas is the same as daily steroids.

But as above, anyone who wants to shield anyway is probably no bad thing.
