Coronovirus sending children into school who are asthmatic?

Is anyone else concerned about sending children into school who have asthma or other health issues that make them vulnerable to Covid 19 ? I know that children aren't effected as much but what about asthmatic children? That's a lot of children in one place! They're not testing now and symptoms can take quite a few days to show. I'm begining to think I shouldn't send mine in. Grandparents wouldn't be looking after them and I work from home. Any thoughts?

Hi. I know how you feel. 😩 I’m in a similar position with two teenagers, one of whom has had a recent asthma hospital admission. I know, as you say, that children aren’t affected as much as adults but there’s not much information about children/teenagers with asthma. The press conference tonight stated that conditions that require the flu vaccine should take special care and then asthma wasn’t mentioned! Sorry I don’t have any useful answers but I share your concerns. Stressful times!

Hi Sjb10, Thanks for your reply. It is really confusing at the moment, I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking, "what about asthma"! I typed that post before the press conference so will go back and listen. Sorry to hear about the hospital visit. All the best to you and your teenagers:)

Both mine woke up with temperatures today. I haven’t, so at least I can sort stuff out for them, safe everyone.
