Vitamin C help for any flu virus (please read)

The Bird Flu was similar in the fact it was/is a deadly viral flu. Dr Hillary Jones was on TV the other day i think it was breakfast TV. Try looking on catch up TV to find the short interview. He was very informative and balanced in his view. He was very reassuring. He advised to treat it like any other flu virus.

My children caught Bird flu in 2010 and i treated it with the vitamin C treatment. It did work. Any flu virus attacks the soft lung tissue. Vitamin C protects the soft tissue. Look online for Dr Gifford Jones article on vitamin C also Dr Andrew W. Saul. Its worth a try it worked for my children. Concentrate on the dosages because its different for each person. You have to find out your personal tolerance level and then reduce by a certain % then take the reduced personal level and take 3 times a day during the scare. Its a personal choice but it worked for my family. Do some research on the dosages. for instance i can tolerate 3 x 2.000mg solvable tablets per day without it upsetting my bowel that = 6,000mg per day spread over 3 doses. (2,000mg 3 times a day) My Son can tolerate 3 x 1,500 per day. find your own personal level. Hope this helps.

I take sustained released Vit C, 500mg AM and same PM. When taken orally, understand one’s body simply expels anything in excess of certain amount, and that recommended daily intake is just 80mg (including whatever you get from food and drink intake). I realise I’m taking more than that 80mg but am not following official guidelines for the extra amount I consume. I suspect I’m peeing most of it out, but there you go.

I gather that amounts over 500mg Daily are considered possibly risky to health. I know some hospitals give the higher amounts you refer to, but via injection, often as part of treatment for certain cancers I understand.

I would have thought that the amounts you mention - taken orally - might be risky, but I’ve not seen / heard the broadcast you referred to.

Didn’t realise virus effects the soft tissue in the lung, and that Vit C helps protect it.

Viruses often occupy the Vitamin D Receptor present in cells, and this is one of the things that lend to the havoc. Not entirely sure that taking Vit D once that had started to happen, can help. However, good to stay topped up with D3 in the run-up to any infection.

Zinc and Selenium can help too, but, personally, I limit the selenium to alternate days.

Not sure how safe these nutrients are for kids, or in what amounts, so if considering, check with a professional first.

Matman as i advise Look online for Dr Gifford Jones article on vitamin C. I can only speak from my own experience and i will just do the same when the Corona hits. You wrote quote ..."Didn’t realise virus effects the soft tissue in the lung", Sadly this is exactly what the Corona virus does. As i said its a personal choice best do some research. I just felt i had to share my experience. Kind regards Charmaine.
