I had a spirometry done a few weeks ago and they results have come back as FEV1 of 3.44(119%), FVC of 4.02(122%) and FEV1/FVC of 84.3. I was on steroids at the time so expect the results were pretty good.
I’ve since had another once when I’ve been off steroids but they haven’t given me the results for that.
Can anyone interpret the results for me please.

The best way to understand your Forced Expiratory Capacity [FEV] and Forced Vital Capacity. [FVC] is to google,What does fev1 mean in asthma? NHS will give you information, between FEV & FVC abd calculating your particular results, as these depend on your age etc. Hope that this helps but if in doubt I would consult my asthma nurse or Asthma UK to assist you with the results. Good luck
In and of itself that’s a good spiro, above the predicted for you and no obstruction shown. If you feel like it was a good one then it’s one to highlight a comparison to (like PF compares to best not predicted average).

Knowing the results isn’t going to ease your breathing, steroids will improve your breathing but long term are supposed to weaken bones, I was on 40 mg daily for over 2 years, my bones are still holding me up with no problems
No one here can reliably. Mine are often high because I have big lungs, was very athletic, didn’t smoke, and have extremely strong breathing muscles because I’m a trained singer.
There’s no doubt that I have asthma, but my high scores keep me out of asthma research studies.
