Chronic asthma extras
Has she discussed it with her asthma nurse? Is her coughing due to irritation from the inhalers she is on, or something else, or are they not controlling her asthma well? It sounds to me as if she needs some professional advice etc. She could also speak to the Asthma U.K. helpline on on 0300 222 5800, office hours. They also have a What’sApp line. The nurses there are brilliant!
Thanks for the reply will try the WhatsApp contact first
Oral hygiene is a must with inhalers. I rinse & gargle with a mouthwash in order to keep throat clean. A steroid nasal spray may help if the mucus is post nasal drip. Or if she has allergy asthma Montelukast may help keep lung mucus levels down.
Singers would also avoid as many mucus making foods & drinks, air con etc. But I'm sure she knows this already.
If she's still struggling maybe consult the British Voice Association - their website is pretty good.
Thank you I will try the British Voice Association
