The DHSC has advised that Uniphyllin® Continus® tablets – all strengths Napp Pharmaceuticals Limited has reported an anticipated short-term supply issue of Uniphyllin® Continus® tablets in 200mg, 300mg and 400mg. The shortage is due to a manufacturing issue and is not expected to last for longer than approximately three weeks. Not sure how this will affect those on uniphyllin but forewarned is fore-armed, so here’s your warning... hopefully there will be little to no disruption to everyone’s med regime!

I meant to reply to this when you posted it, Emma, but couldn't form more than 😳 at the thought of it being unavailable. Then promptly forgot about it....until yesterday when I went to collect my meds from the pharmacy. Eek. They said they'd keep trying their suppliers but, in the meantime, to ask GP for an alternative. Thankfully my GP practice is really good and my GP gets my precarious awkward asthma. Reception said they'd get him to call me, which he did, and he said he'd find something similar to prescribe in case the Uniphyllin didn't come in. Fast forward to this morning and the surgery phoned to say the pharmacy (Morrisons) had called to let them know they'd had some in a delivery and they've reserved some for me. Wahoo!

So the point of my burble is that hopefully other places will be restocking it too!
