Paramedic crew thank yous

I know I recently posted a paramedic appreciation post lamenting the fact I can never really thank them. However I have made a recent discover... an area of my ambo services website (East of England) made for making thank yous. You put in the location +/- time of the call out and any comments and they’ll make sure to pass on your message to the paramedic(s) involved (and maybe put it in their files etc).

I’ve attached the link for the compliments page for my area, and I’m assuming that each area will do a similar thing. This being one of the worst times of year for a lot asthmatics I thought you guys would like to know your thanks can be passed on if you would like!

Thanks for the link for the southwest. I live in Bristol and have in the past have had needed an ambulance because of my asthma.

It's great to know that we can say can pass on our thanks to the ambulance service in this way.

I think that you can give feedback on all NHS Ambulances services.

Last year I had to call out the paramedics to my husband via the 999 service. They were absolutely wonderful and I gave that feed back on the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust website.

I agree that showing appreciation is probably very much welcomed.

I contacted YAS a couple of years ago to thank them and you've reminded me I need to do so again because, 2 admissions ago, the first responder stayed after the ambulance took me to talk to my mum about my asthma (because it's weird and complicated) - he was the first responder last time as well and had remembered my quirks which meant he was proactive with me/us and also when the crew arrived he filled them in straight away. Given he must see a lot of people I was impressed!

Neither did I til I saw some thank yous on twitter and realised there must be a way 😅🙈. Wish I’d found out about it earlier!

Good to know! I keep meaning to drop off chocolates for the pharmacy that reopened to fill my prescription when I was having my adrenal crisis a few months ago and vomiting in the street. There are a lot of guardian angels out there looking out for us!
