Hi I’ve had a blood test which shows I have a high Hemoglobin my asthma has been playing up a bit anyone else had this ?

I've had this before when my asthma has been playing up. My consultant didn't think too much of it. He just said my body is working harder than normal to stay oxygenated. I was on pred anyway at the time, so I just continued pred and antibiotics until I got better.

Did anyone in your family have hemochromatosis? It’s a genetic condition where the body stores too much iron. Good to ask GP about just to rule out.

No I’ve already asked the family the question so I’ll have to wait to see what GP says
