Hi! So I’ve just seen a GP with regards to my ear, my hay fever has kicked in and my ear is completely blocked and my eardrum retracted in even though I’m on Avamys nasal spray, and he’s changed me to Dymista to try... I’ve picked it up and just read the patient information leaflet, and it says one of the side effects can be bronchospasm/air way irritation.....!!! Has anyone else with asthma had this spray before?! I didn’t even think to mention it, and the appointment time was spent checking my ear and going through all my history with that as it was a dr I’ve not met before!
On dymista in my third week for post nasal drip and running nose caused by dustmite allergy. I was told it takes 6 weeks for it to kick in. (I tried amymas in the past. ) I also have acid reflux which is being treated too.
Both these things and the dymista hasn't affected my airways.
I am on a high dose steriod inhaler Fostair nexthaler 200/6 2 puffs twice a day and monkelaust for allergic part of my asthma.
Thank you for replying! Glad to hear it doesn’t affect you, I had a much better night last night after starting my Dymista, I really hope it’s going to work! I was on Montelukast for my allergies too but I didn’t get on with it unfortunately x
