Help for extreme pain

Hi from across the pond. I have asthma,bronciactasis and during a ratty violent coughing fit I Broke two ribs in my back.The pain is unreal and making coughing up mucus almost impossible. Any advice.

I have also broken a rib coughing and had intercostal neuralgia from trapping a nerve coughing. Beside waiting for them to heal and lots of pain medication I found that acupuncture really helped reduce the pain.

Thanks for the reply.I I am 72 and have been having a really bad time of it this past year. The ribs broke coughing from pneumonia I didn’t,t know I had. Went to hospital for 5 days and discharged with Tylenol. No pain meds because of heart issues. I just can,t handle the pain. I will give acupuncture a try. Thanks everyone
