I have difficult to control asthma. Diagnosed feb 2018. My question is what’s the best way to exercise. Used to do step and kettlercise

I’m on

Salamol Easi-Breathe 100mcg

Fostair 200/6 mcg twice in the morning and twice in the evening

Spiiriva Respimat 2.5mcg two puffs in the morning

Montelukast 10mg one at night

What is the best way to get back into exercise.

Very slowly!

The main issue with returning to sport is we tend to push too hard too fast. Either go for something ‘slow’ (Pilates/yoga etc) or try to stop what you’re doing before you get issues. It may take a while to get back to your old fitness levels but you can get there if done well. For me I have to do something I’ve never done before so I can’t ‘push ahead’ (like dance/tennis etc) cause I’m very impatient! Don’t forget to may need to take your salamol 20-30mins before you work out!

Good luck and I wish you well getting fit again!
