Hi all, do i need to see a G.P? Been aching and very tired last 2-3 days. Started coughing up green gunk today. Have got asthma but not suffering any wheezing. Am on Montelukast and higher strength Fostair. Thanks, Helena

Hi yes see a doctor asap. Coughing up coloured gunk especially green usually means a chest infection and you might need ab's and/or steroids. x
Hi
Yes I’d definitely book an appt to see your GP ASAP (Monday, or out of hours if you start to feel asthma-ry/PF drops this weekend).
It sounds like you have an infection (viral/bacterial 🤷♀️), and you don’t want it to suddenly worsen you asthma landing you in hospital. Your GP my say to just keep an eye on it (if they can’t hear a wheeze and you don’t feel symptomatic), or may prescribe antibiotics and/or increased med usage and/or steroids depending on what’s actually going on!
Hope you feel better soon, and that your asthma remains leaving you alone! X
Yes,infection.
See your GP.... might have chest infection
Thanks all. Went to walk in clinic this a.m and nurse said no signs of infection but inflammation has been caused by flu jab last week. Apparently there have been similar stories from others from this year's jab. Keep well all!
