YES!

pharmaceutical-journal.com/...

"Asda has become the first retail pharmacy in the UK to make salbutamol inhalers available without a prescription under a private patient group direction.

Pharmacists across all of its stores will, from tomorrow (24 July 2012), be able to provide the inhalers to patients under a private PGD at a cost of £7 for two inhalers — undercutting the prescription fee in England by 65p."

I was going to tick "like" but then thought about it and it seems it is part of the whole privatising health by stealth.

It is good that it is available to people if GP's refuse to prescribe it, but then it is an expensive for anyone on low income or entitled to free prescriptions, and has no monitoring of those who may need different medication for health reasons.

Got a point but for a emergency if lost or overused need one quickly it's a lifesaver if chemists sell them that's all.
