What's a silent weeze I've been suffering from asthma since I was 13 that's 5 yrs and I've never weezed but I get all the other symptoms

I think it comes from the notion that all asthma sufferers wheeze and, if they don't (like you and me), then it's referred to as being silent. We should consider ourselves lucky - there are many reports on this forum from people with asthma who have been refused treatment or tests because they don't wheeze and are therefore wrongly considered NOT to have asthma.

Yes we are lucky but If it's a very bad attack I will weeze but it has to be super bad I think it is very rude that silent weeze asthmatics are denied treatment

Agreed because maybe we don't weeze untill there like your not asthmatic and then its really deadly and maybe we can't get treatment fast it's better to be safe then sorry and sometimes I believe the ER doesn't always recognise that in asthma as it can be noisy or not true
