I am going on hols Saturday am and looking to take all my medicines in my bag in hand luggage. Does anyone know if this is ok? I haven't taken much medication before but have all my inhalers montelukast, piriton, levoceterizine etc in boxes with my name on from chemist. Will this be ok in a clear bag?
I look like I've got a pharmacy now 😂

Oh right thanks!! I thought I would leave in boxes so they could see and no that they are mine I am travelling to Nice and holidaying in Provence Fayence just one week now was meant to be going for two but only just recovered from last exacerbation about a week ago and cancelled one week hols in Valensole. I am looking forward to it!!
The notices before customs and X-ray machines now say to put inhalers in the clear bags, I queried this for mine as they are gas free and I wanna told to put them in a bag.
I just flew to thailand. Lots of meds for 3 weeks. Didnt have to put the inhalers in bags nor salbutamol nebules. I also have gavisgon 500ml bottle, all they asked to see was my repeat for the liquid and checked the name on the bottle with passport. You should have no issues just give yourself extra time for security
I understand that for people needing to take injections on board airlines ask for a letter from GP. When I've travelled in Europe with inhalers and tablets in hand luggage it has never been a problem. Taking a copy of repeat prescription is a good idea.
I leave my pills in their boxes and put those in hand luggage but always put my inhalers in plastic bags as they are liquid.
When I go to Spain but when I went to Australia, New Zealand declared my pills etc and took my prescription with me so no problems. Better to be safe on these things. Have a lovely holiday. 🙂
Tablets are fine in your hand luggage. I put inhalers in clear plastic bag but out of the boxes. I peel the labels off the boxes and stick on the inhalers(saves room) . Plus take my prescription form list. Never had any trouble but allow a bit longer as sometimes they ask me to show inhalers and prescription list .
I didn’t know you have to put inhalers in with liquids, in fact in the past I had done and a rude person at security said the bag is for liquids only and that’s not a liquid is it. However, in October I spent 2 hours stuck in the line for People With Suspicious Objects, turned out to be Spiriva Respimat which was the problem, so if that’s one of your inhalers I’d suggest putting it loose in the tray or in your liquids bag, which is what I’ll be doing in the future.
