When to take next prednisolone dose

Hi, I was given a 5-day course of prednisolone yesterday and have taken it yesterday evening and this evening (at 8pm). I've just read that it's best taken after breakfast. Does anyone know if I can take my next dose tomorrow morning or is that too short of a time between doses?

Many thanks

It’s too short. I’ve been given a course tonight and I’ve taken one dose tonight and then I’ll take my next dose on Monday morning after breakfast :)

Thanks for the advice. I'll do my best to wait until tomorrow morning too for my next dose. I think it's been disturbing my sleep the past two nights. Hope you feel better soon!

When being started on Pred, if it's in the afternoon or evening I've always been expressly told to take the next dose in the morning.

Oh that's interesting. I wish the advice from GPs and asthma nurses was consistent!

Whenever I've taken Pred, I found it best to take small doses throughout the day, roughly every 3 hours. This helps me with physical side effects, although doesn't minimise the psychological ones. I seem to remember I took 5 tablets a day, although the last time I took a course was 5 years ago.
