The last 2weeks have been torturous, my coughing was getting worse day by day, i was needing my reliever practically every hour for well over a week, iv been sleeping one hour a night, was in pain so went to my doctors on monday, i went in wheezing feeling pants, she checked my chest and oxygen level and because it was 100% ( i took my reliever 1.5 hours earlier) she said i was 100% healthy chest clear no asthma and sent me on my way, i had never felt so let down she even air quoted "suspected asthma" considering the one who did my breathing test said without a doubt i have asthma, so i left the surgery and registered with another. But i was getting worse as the days went on i started vomited pure thick white bubbly mucus. Yesterday i was at my worst, no energy felt so ill no appetite but in the afternoon i decided to try get something down but my hubby found me huntched over a bowl on the floor bringing it all back up he was going to phone an ambulance there and then as he said its gone on far too long no ( in 11 years i have never seen him so worried- he spent his nights awake listening out forvme as i spent the nights on the sofa to give him some peace), i told him no its a waste. A couple hours later i couldn't take anymore and phoned 111 she said its probably a viral but made me an appointment at the hospital out patients. The doctor i saw listened without speaking, he counted off my symptoms on his fingers. He checked my chest and told me i was spasming and made me take my inhaler there and then, he prescribed me steriods and antibiotics and to start asap. The relief i had at just being listened to i cant even explain. Im still waiting for meds to take effect so im still coughing chronicaly but i now have hope. Ill be making a complaint about my ex dr on tuesday as she should of picked it up, id been having an attack for 2 weeks. Still cant eat. About an hour and a half after taking steriods and antibiotics last not i started vomiting up alot brown with the mucus so im wondering if thar might of been an infection in my lungs.
