We have two. One for my sons bedroom and one for our open plan downstairs. We tend to use the downstairs one if I’ve been hovering or the pollen is high. We use the one in his bedroom for an hour or so before he goes to bed. Really like ours, they look nice and are quiet and seem to do the job well.

Healthy House are very helpful - they have a website - but their products are on the expensive side. Make sure any air filter you buy uses a hepa filter and is appropriate for what you need. There are a lot around. I use several in the house including an ELA one and a Prem-i-Air one in the bedroom which I find very effective.

Healthy House also provide a Petal Cleanse spray for animal allergies. We looked after our son's dog for two weeks and using the spray on the dog enabled me to cope well.

My son (an adult) was recently diagnosed as having a severe dust mite allergy and has found that removing all the carpets in his house has made a difference, plus anti dust mite bedding - pillows and duvet and bed linen. Well worth the investment for him. He carries an epi pen and takes an anithistamine.

Yes a quiet air filter helps! I use the one in our bedroom an hour or two before going to bed.
