Steam rooms, saunas and hot showers have triggered me in the past, however if I have a chest infection they help clear the congestion. With hot showers/baths I always crack the window open slightly to let the steam escape then I feel less tight. If you feel bad follow your action plan and don't feel silly if it leads you to the hospital! Don't panic and stress over it tho cause that's more likely to cause issues and symptoms.

I don't like steam rooms but I can't say they specifically trigger an attack but it irritates me. I do however like hot baths, spa, hot shower and sauna very much. Especially a good hot shower I found it calming in the face of allergens, and I think it also helps to get the pollen/dust off of you.

I've heard people wax hot and cold on this issue :-) it seems both ways people like or dislike. For you it may be the steam more than the heat. Or it may just be coincidence. Try it again before you forever banish hot baths from your life.

Yeah I used to love getting showers too nice and hot and calmING. I have decided now to have baths instead to relax at night but then that happens so I have decided to open the window a little now and it helps I have severe hayfever blood shot eyes itchy eyes blocked/runny nose the lot I need to get a allergy test DonE woukd help me know to what to look out for. I will try what you have considered I don't want to not have baths I love them

Hi this has happened to me before so I can't have my baths that hot any more. I think it's the steam having an adverse effect on the old lungs. x
