Asthma and dietary fiber

Hi _Ventolin_,
I have to say that I have never noticed any worsening of symptoms due to increasing dietary fibre. To be fair, porridge oats aren't particularly effective as fibre for me (but I do have a very temperamental bowel:-)), but when I have gone on them for a period of time, as happened for three months earlier this year, there was no change in my asthma.
I do have to have a lot of fibre in my diet and have had to increase the amount this year. If anything I would say my asthma this year has been better than it was last year.

What kind of fiber effective for you MaggieHP? What is that effect about. Thank you for reply.
I do tend to get more acid reflux after eating oats and reflux triggers my asthma. Other than that, I've not noticed a problem.
Emmasue raises a good point. Do you know if you suffer from reflux problems? It can result in asthma like symptoms; I've been caught out by that in the past.

I feel that very rare. Recently no acid reflux conditions.
If you have acid reflex probs, get some gavaston (?) or lansoprazole (?) The question mark is because I may have miss spelt them (I'm at work not near my drugs)
