Hi all hope you are doing ok. I was given a wax melt burner, used it first time 2 days ago and started coughing, same yesterday. Just curious to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar. It is meant to be 'pure' ingredients.
Thanks in advance and hope you all have a peaceful Easter, P

These can make me cough too. I was given one by my sister, it was lovely, but did not have a good effect on my lungs. "Pure ingredients" is a complete misnomer for someone with Asthma!! In fact for me particularly certain "organic natural" plant oils can make me cough for Britain. Also it could just be the fumes from the wax burning that is triggering you. I would say that this is a pretty common reaction, particularly if your lungs are at all twitchy at present. Sometimes even walking into a room where a scented candle was burning can make me cough.
My asthma nurse informed me that all these scented plug-ins are not good for us asthma sufferers. I still use occasionally, just for short bursts. At the moment anything scented is setting me off, even reed diffusers.
