Hi i love how steriods take the edge off my breathing but i do worry that its just masking the problem because as soon as you come off them you cant breathe does anyone else feel the same

Glad get make you feel better while taking them. Have you been told to taper off your dose when coming off them especially I'd a high side. Ice just been prescribed another lot on a and e last night and sent home but have worsened throat has gone red and swollen and my inhaler or the steroids aren't doing my shortness of breath. They have made me quite awake although exhausted at the same time if that makes sense, it's like an artificial energy. I think for you even if they just mask the problem for a while it gives you a breather and perhaps the aim is that you won't need them anymore. Definitely best not to come straight off them, I've heard the problems aren't as bad that way. Best wishes Lauren
