I have been on pred now for nearly two years . the consultant has done bood tests to see if i can be slowly weened off. However my body itches, not all over and not in the same place all the time. Anyone else have anything like this? could it be the pred?

I itch but it's variable and I have allergies. Is your asthma driven by allergies too?

Mould , I also have aspriligis and some other Bronchi (cant say it cant spell it)

I have taken an antihistimine this morning hoping it calms things

I was on long term Prednisolone to get my Ige down to a level where I could get xolair. I really struggled the last 4 months to 0.5mg month. Read up in Google on steroid withdrawal symtoms and you'll be shocked. Hope it gets easier but even tapering off them had to go back up a few times due to exacerbations. Good luck

I was on and off oral steroids since 1967 but have been on them constantly since March 1992. Last hospital appt suggested stopping Flixotide and starting Fostair and Clenil 2 puffs of each twice a day and reducing steroids by 5mg every 3 days. I tried their system and it failed ended up having to increase steroids to 40mg so am taking it more slowly and titrating down at my normal 5mg a week till I get to 25mg then 1mg a week, currently at 21mg, don't think hospital will be pleased with me but I don't care as long as I can breathe that is what counts
