Since being diagnosed with asthma and receiving the medication I have I have noticed i tend to eat more and have put on a lot of weight, this is due to the steroids. So if anyone is wondering why they've put on weight since being put on asthma medication this could be why.

Hi I having the opposite effects where i am losing weight. It is a documented that you can put on weight I think the key is to go and talk to your Drs about it.

I did go to my doctors and they said it was normal and very common? That''s quite odd haha

Hi. When I'm on steroids I will eat anything I am permently hungry. This is not good when you have type 2 diabeties 😩 Its a battle every day and I eat a lot of veg to fill me up 😋 Best wishes.

I rather not have the steriods but you need them as a short sharp treatment for after an asthma attack. This the second time I had steriods and I was surprise the first time that was December last year. I was surprise again this time. My husband said this is why (cheats) cyclist like steriods for losing weight and the boost it gives them. I say no to that I rather be able to sleep. Just getting back to normal now. 4 am woke up last night and that is so much better than it has been for 2 wks. Didn't have to crash in the afternoon and have a sleep feel normal. Lost weigh over an inch. As an idea of losing weight bad bad news. Don't like steroids but know they work. Hope all who have the opposite effect increase appetite find a way to deal with it.
