After all that waiting, the consultant told me through her secretary that the cysts didn't have anything to do with my asthma or bronchitis and I should stop worrying..well thank you for nothing..
I am sorry but I am not one to take things for granted so Im going to pursue the whole thing until I am told what exactly is going on, if it means going to the British Lung Foundation I will. I mean one cannot have multiple diffuse pulmonary cysts in a CT scan and told not to worry and just accept it.
Whilst it is good to let off a bit of steam occasionally and to have a rant, it's not good to get too stressed; that doesn't help asthma. I do sometimes wonder if doctors of respiratory medicine (or doctors in general come to that) take that into consideration when dealing with asthmatics.

I don't think they do Maggie, She was just condescending and didn't come up with any explanations. Thank you for your concern :))
I had loads of white dots show up on my last lung X-ray which the doctor said were "interesting" and showed them to me and I said "ooh that's ... interesting".
The specialist said they were benign and normally associated with having had chicken pox when an adult but if so I must have not noticed having chicken pox when I was an adult - I think I had it when I was a kid.
Though to be fair, 'normally' is not the same as 'always'. 'Normally' implies that that is most likely explanation, whilst leaving open the option that it might have been caused by something else
The important thing, of course, is that the spots were benign:-).
well I have to go back to the GP and see if I can go somewhere else. The Asthma UK nurse said there were 7 tiertary hospitals ( tiertary? whatever that means) we could choose from so I will say I want to go to a different hospital with a good respiratory department.

'Tertiary' equates with 'third'. So in this case I suspect primary care is first line of NHS care (GPs etc), secondary would be local hospitals and tertiary more specialised units.
I can't believe that's all you were told! Will the cysts get bigger? Will more of them develop? At what point would she consider removing them? Etc etc.
Not good enough. Keep on her, or ask for a second opinion - it's your right.
Hi Emilia, that's what I'd like to know really, I have been abnormally tired I think lately although after 4 loads of antibiotics who wouldn't be..
I'll take the time I need Emilia but I'll get through this, I've done it before now it's something else but we need to plod on..
Thanks for asking. Take care xxx
I don't blame you at all for the frustration, and I've been through it also. I went to one surgeon who had the personality of a wood lice. He blandly suggested for me to get an MRI (that machine misses tons of ailments) and I blandly (caught his mood) left and immediately consulted another surgeon who really listened, suggested helpful advice, etc.
War path idea shows spirit instead of calmly accepting their verbal babble.
:))) yes we'll see who comes along!! After the initial shock you get wiser..
