Hi DavidLewis I presume your new inhaler is clenil modulite. As for the blue inhaler yes you should still use it if you have any asthma symptoms. I am very surprise you don't have an asthma plan I would go back and ask for one. Every one should have one! I presume you been put on this as a trial to see if it helps your asthma. This should help with your asthma within a few days to a week. I would also ring asthma uk helpline they are brilliant and will help you too. Hope this helps.
The doctor was thinking that my asthma symptoms was related to the winter weather, but then said that that he will see how i get on with it for a year. but i do have my asthma review in April. But will be going back next week to get an action plan.
My new inhaler is clenil modulite 50 which i have to 2 puffs two times a day.
Thanks for your help and i will give asthma uk a call next week
the brown inhaler is it Becotide? that suited me fine until my "exacerbations" started a few years ago and now the doc puts me on Symbicort for regular steroids, and Montelukast pills; for exacerbations it is now Prednisolone pills, they started off (5mg tabs i think) 4x5 (4 a day for 5 days) and that was called "shock treatment" and the highest I've had has been 8x7 + a "tapering off" but they're only good while on the and the side effects are terrible
