Travel to US

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be travelling to the US and Japan this year, and I was wondering if you absolutely needed to have the prescriptions with you (and/or a letter from the GP)? I've gone to a few European countries with my medication before and was never asked for them, but is it different for the US?

Thanks :)

The information I read before I went said that the printed pharmacy sticker on the medicine was ok, so I just made sure I had one of each of my inhalers in its original box with the sticker. But I wasn't stopped by US customs so this was never actually tested
