Insomnia is an awful thing & to be honest if I had the solution I'd be using it! I guess there's all the usual advice about no sugary or caffeine drinks, don't use electronic equiment, etc. & counting sheep but I think at the end of the day it's just a bit of a curse.

For what it's worth I like to convince myself that it's a sign of high intelligence & an active mind but keep that between us :)

what the problem is it insomnia or medication. I can sympathies I have had insomnia but not due to asthma and my lack of sleep at the moment is due to being on the rescue steroids. I haven't had a good nights sleep in nearly two weeks.

If its insomnia try nytol worked for me. If its medication talked to asthma uk helpline or if its your asthma then you need to be seen by a doctor. We don't have to suffer.

Attempt number three at sending this (the system really doesn't seem to like me today:-)).

To add to everyone else's thoughts on this subject, I really do sympathise. My sleep patterns have been disrupted recently, but in my case I'm pretty certain it's down to hormonal changes, inevitable at my time of life, I believe:-).

Stress won't help either, and even worse, stressing about not sleeping leading to - not sleeping, and so on ... You mention that you have done Pilates - how about yoga?

Right, now to hit submit - fingers crossed ...

What I found helped me was wearing an eye mask in bed. This cuts out all light. I also have a mug of Sleep Easy tea, by Clippers, about half an hour before bed.
