Rescue Packs

Has anyone had trouble with the GP when trying to request replacement rescue packs, i.e. Prednisolone and ABs to add water to, for children under ten. A locum at our surgery said that there were guidelines preventing this for the under ten. Apparently I would be self prescribing if I used it. I felt like I was been accused of Munhausens by Proxy (sic). Fortunatley the asthma nurse on here was very helpful and I managed to speak to a regular GP who dismissed it and gave me a script and said it was a case of knowing your Patients. ARGGGGHHHHH its all there on screen for all the GPs at the practice. Thankfully I had spoken to the nurse at Asthma UK, who was so helpful and just gave enough support for me to tackle this in a calm way.
