Hi I was wondering if anyone was on xolair injections and if they have found them helpful. I have just been referred by my consultant for them so hopefully I will meet the criteria. Also if you are on it have you experienced any side effects?

xolair treatment
Hi there, I'm in the same boat as you and have just been referred for treatment, I've met all the requirements so fingers crossed it works, I live in Scotland and in my hospital they don't do it as injections but via an IV infusion, 4 hours for first treatment then an hour after that, it would be good to keep in touch and see how we get on

Hi Lorraine,
Im in Scotland aswell but I think my local hospital do the injection, and wonder why it is done differently. I really hope it works, I ended up in the hospital again over the weekend and due to my asthma i'm now at risk of losing my job.
Good Luck

Loz what it sound like your on is a trial for a drug similar to Xiolair, meant to be 50 times stronger
Hi Karen
Sorry for the delay, go to your occupational health and ask them to put your asthma on disability as it's something that will last linger than 12 months, I'm in the process of taking my previous employer to court over this as I feel they have unfairly dismissed me but don't let them away with it, I'm starting my first treatment on the 13th may, I live in Dundee, where do you live?
