Could you put liquids other than salbutomal in a nebuliser?

Probably sounds like a silly question, but if you had a nebuliser and no salbutomal or you were having a very mild attack, is there something you could substitute for medication to make yourself feel better?

Thanks!

No... That's the last thing you want to be doing. One it wouldn't be sterile, and two you have no idea how you would react, particularly if they are already inflamed and in bronchospasm. Only use your prescribed medication.

I agree with nursefurby!! Don't put anything else in it! I also use ipatropium bromide as well as salbutamol in mine, but it's prescribed!!

I put other stuff in mine too, but it's all prescribed and sterile medication.
