Did anyone see this programme on Channel 4 last week? Basically it was a case that the entire National Grid went down, and the country was without power for several weeks. They started running out of fuel etc, and anarchy ensued. It got to the point that the hospitals were running out of power.
It got me thinking. A lot of us rely on mains powered devices to keep us going. Some of us are lucky in that we have portable battery operated nebs, but what about the people who don't? If there was a massive, prolonged power outage, what would we rely on? If the hospitals are running out of power, we wouldn't be able to rely on them for things like power or oxygen cylinders to run our nebs off.
So what would people do if such a thing happened? I'd probably live off batteries and cold spaghetti...
