Hi, this may be a really stupid question but can you have a post nasal drip without actually feeling a drip?
I could be clutching at straws but I'm trying to figure out why I have had so many infections and I have horrid yellow/green phlegm again which is wearing me out.
The consultant asked about post nasal drip and I said NO because I don't feel a drip but now I have looked into it I have lots of other symptoms
Again sorry if its a stupid question.
Lisa

It's not really a drip like a dripping tap... so yes, you probably do have it. For me, when I have it (rarely since going on Montelukast) it's just a constant feeling of phlegm at the back of my throat.
I agree, its not like a drip in the sense of a tap dripping. Excuse the description but is like you have mucous which is too high up for you to clear easily by clearing your throat, but too far back/low down for you to clear it with your nose. Its kinda stuck there. Horrid. My PND is worse when allergies are playing up too.

I have this at times too, I never even thought about it, I've heard of post nasal drip, but didn't know that's that what it was. Do whats the implications of having it? What can prevent it? Can it affect asthma?
