Sof-Serter

Anyone know where you can buy one from, my usual site are becoming hardened and sore so I now need to be a bit more inventive and I think a sof serter is the way forward, just can't find one to buy!

Thanks

There has been previous posts on sof serter from allied medical or minimed I think.

Good luck and hope it helps. It is not something I have experience of.

As the mod as said Allied Medical sell them for £20, but worth discussing the problem with Allied Medical. I had been using Sof Sets for 7 years and even with a sof serter still found is difficult to keep sof sets in for any length of time due to scarring and hardening. So I have changed to Neria Softs! They go in at an angle and so I am missing the scarring that I have, Allied Medical supplied me with some samples, gave them a go and then got my GP to change from the soft sets to Neria softs.

Hello!

I have one of these though use sillouette sof-sets these days.

They too go in at an angle of 45 degrees....

Rotating sites helps as you probably know, I use tum, arms and top of chest. Others can use legs and side hips ( the love handles!)

Mine was purchased by the hospital. You may be able to ask your med equip suppliers to get one for you from AMT Medical

applied-medical.co.uk/sofse...

Give them a call, they are very helpful.

hi ,

i too use soff sets from time to time, and with the sof serter, i didnt really get on with the shiluette, but am always looking at alternatives, i use the thallasets for my Immunoglobulins, but they are only in for an hour and a half, i can have a sof set in for 5 - 7 days!

Because my cons is nopt keen on the S/C any more i was persuaded to come off it back in january, but like a lot of people at the moment i have been very brittle probably due to the weather so have put it back on, i am impressed to have a PF of 350, my average is 300, and not great when i work as an outdoor instructor and am very active, it is so nice to breath so freely!!

The Team at Applied med are great, they know me by my voice!! call them they will help you anyway they can,

Thanks guys, I will give allied a call tomorrow! I'm using my arms and thighs as well but they are only good when I'm not at work, I find myself getting tangled otherwise! lol. x
